Hello and welcome to  mechanicalspices – A blog all about helping you get a clear understanding of the basic concepts of mechanical that can be helpful for your GATE, IES and other Entrance exams including your Interview as well.

My idea is simple – to provide useful and easy to understand mechanical topics that can be understood by folks just like you. As far as possible I’ll try to simplify whatever topic I choose because I find in most of the reference books its more probably filled with extra philosophy which is not at all useful to we students.

I am Shantanu Senapati, a Mechanical Engineering student. I find that while learning any topic during your engineering days you devote a lot of time to segregate the actual fundamentals from the books because most of the publications try to fill in unnecessary topics to make their book look thicker so that they can charge you extra bucks for those things that are not necessary for us.

So my articles or pages will be an precise overview of the fundamental concepts for better understanding.
